Practice Video - Old Rugged Cross arranged by Mark Hayes
Another practice video to share. Lots to learn from on these practice videos.

*I did change the end of the song a little bit*
Practice, practice, practice, and practice some more. I recommend recording some of your practice sessions. Especially, where you make the most mistakes. You can see and hear things on video that you may not notice while practicing. Poor technique, improper fingering, hesitation, incorrect timing, the list goes on and on.
Remember, no one is perfect - record, listen, and watch what happens before AND after your mistakes. Mistakes are learning opportunities! I strongly believe in recording your practice sessions.
BEFORE my BIG mistake, I am anticipating that I'm going to make a mistake in the next measure, and I hesitate and overthink everything. AFTER my mistake you hear me sigh, flick the page, and start banging and being very stiff. So basically, I was having a mini temper tantrum.
Is my reaction understandable? Of course, but we can learn from these mistakes. We, as aspiring musicians, need to learn to "respond" not "react" during and after making a mistake.
